The Infant and Primary School in Ventalló, Spain, is a sustainable learning environment designed as a "building machine" that harmonizes with its rural surroundings.

Constructed with an Xlam wooden structure and rammed earth panels, the school embraces natural materials for durability and thermal efficiency. The roof, a dynamic composition of square volumes at varying heights, facilitates natural light entry and air circulation, ensuring comfort and energy efficiency.

Inspired by the agricultural patterns of the landscape, the roof design mimics the surrounding fields, integrating the school seamlessly into its environment while fostering a strong connection between nature and education.
